These are all different aspects (or different names) of the ways I help arrangers get their charts from the beginning stages–as a handwritten manuscript, a midi or audio mockup, a sketch of the arrangement on a grand staff, etc.–to the final parts on the stands of orchestral players and a coil-bound score for the conductor. Examples of my parts and scores can be seen here.

A partial list of arrangers and orchestrators I’ve worked with: Don Hart, Carl Marsh, Kristin Wilkinson, Bernie Herms, Steve Dorff, Rob Shirakbari, Matthew McCauley, Tim Lauer, Jordan Lehning, Ben Shive, Adam Anders, Jim Gray, Jeff Taylor, Charles Fox, Larry Paxton, Chris McDonald, Trey Anastasio, Pat Coil, David Huntsinger, Don Chaffer, John Mark Painter, Conni Ellisor, Bergan White, Monroe Jones, Doug Sisemore, Tommy Sims, Tracy Silverman, Chris Farrell, Scott Hallgren, Camp Kirkland, Robert Sterling, Keith Christopher.

Besides working regularly with the Nashville Symphony, my hometown orchestra, I’ve worked with: The New York Philharmonic; Los Angeles Philharmonic; Cincinnati Pops; Seattle Symphony; National Symphony; Atlanta Symphony; Baltimore Symphony; Pittsburg Symphony; Oregon Symphony; Anchorage Symphony; Colorado Symphony; Philadelphia Orchestra; Kansas City Symphony; San Diego Symphony; Alabama Symphony; and the sadly defunct Nashville Chamber Orchestra.

Since 2017, I’ve engraved many of the titles Oxford University Press publishes of North American composers, especially the works of Mack Wilberg (music director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir). Hal Leonard and Lifeway are a couple of the other publishers I’ve worked with over the years.

Trey Anastasio asked me to work with him and Don Hart as the music copyist for the Hands on a Hardbody musical (starting with heading up a team transcribing everything from the concept album) which opened on Broadway in 2013 and continues to be performed around the country.

Other musicals I’ve worked on include I Dream with orchestrator Carl Marsh, and music prep and orchestration work on Call Me Diana with composer David Smart.

Work on television shows includes: 2019 Grammy Awards; CMA Awards in 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2020; CMA Country Christmas 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019; GMA Dove Awards (2008 and 2019); CMT Giants: Reba; CMT Crossroads: Smokey Robinson and Cam; ACM Awards (2015, 2016), and several seasons of American Idol.

These are some of the projects I’ve had the privilege of working on in some capacity since I started doing this work full-time in 2004.
